Advanced Technology: Modern Day Dentistry for Mt. Pleasant
Our main goal is to provide you with the highest-quality care and results possible, and in order to do that, we use only the latest, state-of-the-art-technology. With the newest tools, Dr. Virginia Gregory and our team can perform everything from diagnostics to treatments much faster, safer, and with more precision. Thanks to our technology, we’ll be able to help you glide through your appointments with ease. To learn more about some of the great tools we use every day, simply read on below.
Digital Cameras
Using this device, we can create highly detailed images of your teeth and gums to give you a better idea of the health using full mouth digital photography. This will give us a much better perspective on your smile so we can catch dental issues sooner and formulate more personalized treatment plans. Plus, you’ll finally get to see your smile from your dentist’s point of view!
Digital X-Rays
X-rays have been an essential part of dentistry for decades, and thanks to our digital x-ray machine, we can now create images much faster while exposing our patients to less radiation. This way, we can catch hidden dental issues even better while giving our patients peace of mind.
Soft Tissue Laser
With our soft tissue laser, we can perform a wide variety of dental procedures with extreme precision and accuracy. At our practice, we use it for sensitive periodontal therapy treatments and cosmetic gum recontouring. The highly-concentrated light can painlessly eliminate infected or excess gum tissue to give you a healthy, perfectly proportioned smile that you’ll always be proud to show off. Plus, it even cauterizes as it goes, which will stop any bleeding and make your recovery time much shorter.
iTero Digital Scanner
We do our utmost to streamline the dentistry process. One way we’ve made this possible is by investing in the technology to create a completely digital office. Our iTero digital scanner is another way we make the dental care process simple and safe for every patient we treat. Dr. Gregory and her team use the iTero system as part of a number of advanced restorative and cosmetic treatments. We can use the iTero scanner to capture intraoral photos, digital bite impressions, and full mouth scans. All of these images are instantly transferred to a chairside computer monitor where we create restoration designs that can be instantly transferred to our dental lab, insurance providers, and specialty offices as necessary. That means your treatment plan gets started right away. We can also use the chairside computer monitors to show patients specific areas for concern and help them better understand their treatment options.
